아빠는 신문 찾으면 앉고... 또 앉고... 또 앉습니다.

Papa is my favorite pal.
He gives me piggyback rides and Granny Smith apples!
I'll do anything for Papa except bring him the newspaper.
When Papa finds the paper, he goes to the big red chair, and he sits.. and sits .. and sits.
So I sit next to his feet.
아빠는 내가 가장 좋아하는 친구예요.
그는 나에게 피기백 태워주고 Granny Smith 사과를 주었습니다!
나는 신문을 가져오는 것 외에는 아빠를 위해 무엇이든 할 것입니다.
아빠는 종이를 찾으면 커다란 빨간 의자로 가서 앉고.. 또 앉고.. 또 앉습니다.
그래서 나는 그의 발 옆에 앉았습니다.

"Come sit with me," he says, lifting me up beside him.
Papa's paper is black and white and boring.
"Let's look at the fairy-tale book," I say.
"In a moment," Papa says. "I am reading the paper."
I jump down and get the book from the shelf. I sit and look at the big bad wolf. His mouth is watering.
"Look at the big bad wolf," I say, showing Papa.
"That's a big bad wolf, all right," Papa says with a quick look. He goes back to his newspaper.
I laugh at a picture in my book. A cat is wearing boots. "Look at the silly cat, Papa!"
Papa looks up. He smiles at the cat and then hides again behind the paper.
"와서 나와 함께 앉자" 그가 나를 자기 옆으로 들어올리며 말했습니다.
아빠의 신문은 흑백이고 지루해요.
"동화책을 봐요"고 나는 말했다.
"잠깐만." 아빠가 말했습니다. "나는 신문을 읽고 있어."
나는 뛰어내려 선반에서 책을 꺼낸다. 나는 앉아서 크고 나쁜 늑대를 바라봅니다. 그의 입에 침이 고입니다. (군침이 돌다)
"저 크고 나쁜 늑대 좀 보세요." 나는 아빠에게 보여주면서 말했다.
"그건 크고 나쁜 늑대야, 알았어." 아빠가 재빨리 쳐다보며 말했다. 그는 신문으로 돌아갑니다.
나는 내 책에 있는 사진을 보고 웃는다. 고양이가 부츠를 신고 있어요. "저 멍청한 고양이 좀 보세요, 아빠!"
아빠가 위를 올려다본다. 그는 고양이에게 미소를 지었다가 다시 종이 뒤에 숨었습니다.

I smile at Snow White. The beautiful young princess is seated at the table. She has prepared a huge feast and is waiting for the seven little men to come home.
"See how pretty Snow White is, Papa!" I show him the princess.
Papa looks up and nods. "Pretty as a picture," he says.
I finish my book and look at Papa.
Papa finishes the paper and looks at me.
"Grown-ups like newspaper stories," he says.
"They help us learn about the world."
"I like book stories with lots of pictures. Books are better," I say.
"Do you know the difference between a book and a newspaper?" Papa asks.
나는 백설공주를 보고 미소를 지었다. 아름다운 어린 공주가 테이블에 앉아 있습니다. 그녀는 큰 잔치를 준비하고 일곱 꼬마가 집으로 돌아오기를 기다리고 있습니다.
"백설공주가 얼마나 예쁜지 보세요, 아빠!" 나는 그에게 공주를 보여줍니다.
아빠는 고개를 끄덕이며 쳐다본다. "사진처럼 예쁘다"고 그는 말한다.
나는 책을 다 읽고 아빠를 봅니다.
아빠는 신문을 끝내고 나를 쳐다본다.
"어른들은 신문 기사를 좋아해"라고 그는 말합니다.
"그들은 우리가 세상에 대해 배우는 데 도움이 된단다."
"나는 그림이 많은 책 이야기를 좋아한다. 책이 더 좋다"고 나는 말한다.
"책과 신문의 차이점을 아니?" 아빠가 묻습니다.

"Yes," I tell him. "Books are fun, and newspapers are boring.*
Papa smiles and shakes his head. "Books are books, but newspapers..."
Papa makes me a hat.
I make him a cape!
Papa makes me a wand.
I make him a ball, and we play catch.
Papa gives me a piggyback ride all around a newspaper mountain.
"네." 나는 그에게 말했다. "책은 재미있고, 신문은 지루해요.*
아빠는 웃으며 고개를 저었다. "책은 책이지만 신문은…"
아빠는 나에게 모자를 만들어준다.
나는 그에게 망토를 만들어준다!
아빠는 나에게 지팡이를 만들어준다.
나는 그에게 공을 주고 우리는 캐치볼을 합니다.
아빠는 나를 업고 신문산 주위를 둘러보라고 하셨습니다.

Then we have a picnic on a newspaper blanket and eat Granny Smith apples.
Papa is my favorite pal.
I'll do anything for Papa. I guess I'll even bring him the newspaper.
그런 다음 신문 담요 위에서 피크닉을 즐기고 Granny Smith 사과를 먹습니다.
아빠는 내가 가장 좋아하는 친구예요.
나는 아빠를 위해서라면 뭐든지 할 거예요. 나는 그에게 신문도 가져다 줄 것 같아요.
